How does non-disclosure group therapy work?

As you may have seen I am running my first retreat next month at Slayley Hall, I am also delivering a series of women’s workshop’s to build confidence and manage stress for Carney Consultancy (well they are sponsoring it) for 10 women starting later this month. It’s very exciting.
So how will it all work you might ask. So at the retreat Jude and I are working in partnership, she’s a reiki / EFT/ NLP/ DBT and Hypnotherapist and I am an accredited EMDR practitioner, working towards and very nearly a consultant/ NLP/ EFT/ DBT/ and Hypnotherapist, so the difference between us is she does Reiki and I don’t and I do EMDR and she doesn’t. They will be some coaching that we will all be together for, most likely at the beginning of each day and when Katie does the yoga and Jude is delivering Reiki at the same time this will be all together.
We have two lovely rooms one is better for group EMDR (it’s board room lay out) and one more inclined to group hypnosis (it’s a lovely comfy lounge called the Whiskey Snug) or EFT, though Jude will do most of the hypnosis, I am keen to do at least one session with you.
So how does it work??? It’s a gentle therapy system that’s adapted from EMDR to be able to gently wash off stress or distress that has accumulated over recent months. Likened to hand washing for the mind, it can be one event you chose to work on or an accumulation of things, before the retreat I will contact you to discuss what you might chose to work on. The sessions then (4 of them over the course of the retreat) will gently work on the stress or stresses using imagery and self administered eye movements to systematically reprocess these events. Although delivered as a group there is no discussion about people’s traumatic events during this process.
The group hypnosis will use imagery to create powerful shifts and the EFT will use a combination of borrowed benefits and group protocols for tapping about our goals.
There have been so many difficult things happening for people over the last couple of years, Covid, social isolation, for many relationships haven’t survived it, people are struggling now working long hours often to make up for the lost time. This retreat will help you to really put away some of that stress or distress, really start to unlock your potential to reduce the inflammation stress causes on the body and reap the rewards of that, leaving feeling energised, ready to live a more balanced life going forward.
